Fire at CRPF camp, 2 injured

Srinagar, Jan 5: Two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were injured in a fire that broke out in the office complex of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) CRPF Kashmir at Karan Nagar here.
Spokesperson of the CRPF, Rajesh Yadav, said two CRPF men suffered minor injuries after a fire that broke out in one of the accommodation quarters of its CRPF camp in Srinagar. He said that short circuit led to fire. He said that the injured were immediately shifted to the nearby Sri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital (SMHS) for treatment.
He further said the wireless communication equipment, official records and the belongings of the cadets were damaged in the fire. “We haven’t made the final assessment yet but some important office records and the belongings of the jawans were damaged in the fire”, he said.
