FFC beats GDC in inaugural match

BHADERWAH, Oct 16: In an earnest effort and drive to connect with the local youth, Bhaderwah Police under its Civic Action Programme (CAP) organized a football tournament, the inaugural match of which was played here.
The football tournament in which 6 local teams including that of Government Degree College Bhaderwah are participating is aimed to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship and to constructively engage the local youth to work towards peace and tranquility in the area and also to tap their raw talent by giving them a platform to perform their skills.
The tournament commenced after the inaugural function which was held at sports ground GDC Bhadarwah this afternoon and was presided over by Additional SP Bhaderwah Rajinder Singh, whereas Bal Krishan, CEO BDA was the chief guest. SDPO Bhaderwah Brijesh Sharma, renowned educationist and NCC officer Arif Rana, Sajjad Khan, Publicity Officer BDA, SHO Bhaderwah Munir Khan and Masood Ahmed.
The high octane inaugural match was played between Friends Football Club (FFC) and GDC Bhaderwah, in which former emerged winner with 2-1 and became the first team to reach quarter finals.
