JAMMU, Apr 23: The Minister of State with independent charge for Science and Technology and Information Technology, Feroz Ahmed Khan has urged the BEACON authorities to ensure that the Srinagar –Kargil road is opened by May 5 in any case so that the people of the area can reach Ladakh in time to caste their vote on May 7.
Mr Khan also met the Chief Engineer BEACON, Kashmir who informed the Minister that the work on the road is going on war footing and the efforts are on to road will either be opened by end of this month or first week of May so that the people are not deprived from exercising their right to vote.
