Femina Miss India 2014 celebrates 25th birthday with visually challenged girls

JAMMU, Jan 4: Koyal Rana, Femina Miss India 2014, who represented India at Miss World in London, today graced the city of temples to celebrate her 25th birthday with the visually challenged girls of Louis Braile Memorial School, Muthi Morh, Jammu.
Koyal shares her birthday, 4th January, with the legendary, Louis Braille, creator of the Braille system of printing and writing for the blind. In his honour, Koyal, every year, celebrated her birthday with the visually challenged women and this time Koyal Rana celebrates her birthday with the students of Louis Braile Memorial School for sightless girls, located at Sector 1, Muthi Morh, Jammu.
This was her first visit in Jammu and Kashmir. The Femina Miss India 2014 was given a warm welcome by the staff and students of the school. She was also delighted in the company of the sightless girls of the school and shares many experiences and stories of her life with them. Later in the evening, she cut her birthday cake in the presence of students and staff of the school, who were happy with the courtesy of the Femina Miss India 2014. She also presented gifts to the students.
In her message to the students of the school, Koyal Rana said, “One should always choose one’s hobby as profession whether it is acting, painting, singing, dancing, engineering, writing and whatever. Don’t pursue any profession with half-heart, instead put in all your efforts into your profession if you do this with full determination and honesty, you will surely get success”.
Daughter of Anita Rana and Arun Rana, Koyal Rana hails from New Delhi and was crowned with ‘Femina Miss India 2014’, which was held on April 5, 2014. She had bagged two awards in the contest namely ‘Miss Beauty with a Purpose’ and ‘Miss Healthy Skin’. The charming girl also represented India at Miss Teen International in Chicago and won the Miss Universal Teen 2009 Title.
