Female players protest against Hockey J&K

SRINAGAR, Jan 19: Hockey Kashmir based female hockey players protested against Hockey J&K in press enclave, Srinagar. They alleged that Hockey J&K, governing body for hockey in the state, never informs Kashmir players about selection trials.
Hockey J&K is about to field its senior women’s team in senior women’s national hockey championship scheduled to be held in Ranchi from January 26 to February 4. For the event association has shortlisted  around 25 to 30 players who are now undergoing through coaching camp in Jammu.
Kashmir based female hockey players who regularly train in Bakshi Stadium Srinagar have alleged that association did not inform them about selection and now they try to justify their act by saying “We are beginners in hockey.”
