Feather in ISRO cap

Another landmark achievement has been made by the Indian Space Research Organization by launching GSLV-D6, powered by the indigenous cryogenic engine. Indian scientists at ISRO have reason to feel elated at this success which is a step in the ultimate objective of landing human being on the moon. India has made appreciable progress in space technology and with the launching of GSLV-D6, India joins the five advanced countries of the world that have this technology. Scientists at the mission control centre said that the launch was perfectly in line with the plan.. According to them with this launch the GSLV has shed the developmental tag and it has got the operational tag.
India has more than once stated that her research in space science and technology is for peaceful purposes. It is essentially to monitor the behavior of the nature and interaction of natural phenomenon with human urge for enquiry. As the GSLV is crucial for ambitious future programmes including manned missions, the space agency has been working on the vehicle for decades together using a set of cryogenic engines it obtained from Russia before restrictions were imposed.   We are proud of our scientists and we are confident that they will continue to play the leading role in taking the country to the golden era of modern science and technology.
We join the entire nation in extending our felicitations to the scientists at ISRO who are committed to the cause of our nation becoming self sufficient in all important technologies to become a power to be reckoned with.
