FCS&CA books 26 traders, realizes Rs 23,000 fine

JAMMU, Feb 24: Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department booked 26 traders and recovered Rs 23,000 fine from the defaulters.
As per official spokesman, on the occasion of Maha Shivratri, a special squad headed by Joginder Singh, Assistant Director (Enforcement) FCS&CA along with Inspector Raman Kumar, Naresh Gupta and Yogesh Kumar visisted Janipur, Bantalab, Muthi, Barnai, Paloura, Toph Sherkhania, Talab Tillo and Canal Road areas and checked 11 establishments including vegetable shops, meat shops, sweat shops, general stores, restaurants and dhabas, etc.
During checking, the team booked 26 traders under various acts viz EC Act 1956, J&K Display of Price and Stocks of Scheduled Essential Commodities Order, 1990, LPG (Regulation of supply and distribution) Order 200 and a fine of Rs 23,000 was realized on spot from the defaulters.
