JAMMU, Jan 9:  A joint delegation of Federation Chamber Industries Kashmir (FCIK) and Association of Industries Gangyal (Jammu) called on Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu and projected their issues.
The delegation was led by president (FCIK)  Mohd Ashraf Mir and Rattan Dogra,  president AoI, Gangyal, Jammu. They met Dr Drabu in his office Chamber at Civil Secretariat here  and had thorough discussion on the issues of the industrialists. The delegation extended gratitude to the  Finance Minister to have spared his precious time to enable the entrepreneurs to place their apprehensions just before the finalization of State Budget.
The delegation impressed upon  Finance Minister to keep the genuine requirements of local MSME units largely promoted by sons of the soil entrepreneur imperative for their sustenance.
The delegation requested the Finance Minister to provide sufficient and adequate fiscal incentives to keep their competitive edge to enable these units remain healthy and capable to grow and expand by providing reimbursement of cash equivalent of SGST component of invoice value as prevalent before GST regime. Further CGST paid in cash ledger be totally reimbursed. The delegation also requested to keep equivalent of 2% budgetary support in lieu of CST exemption for sales outside the State. Alternatively the State Govt may also consider to keep budgetary support for giving cash back of  5% of sales of local units for consumption within the State
They stressed that all products being manufactured by local industry be declared as identified items and their mandatory purchase through Govt agencies like SICOP specifically created for marketing the products of local units and all other agencies not controlled by State Govt be banned for marketing of industrial products for better monitoring of the purchases of the specified goods by various Govt agencies.
Special amnesty scheme for waiver of surcharge and penalties for arrears of PDD  be devised to help revive sick and closed units. Special provision  be made in the State Budget for plantation of English willow in the State.
The others who accompanied the delegation included, SB Abrol, Mohd Altaf,  Ravi Gupta Gulam Jeelani and Romesh Sethi.
