FC Agriculture reviews CSS implementation

JAMMU, Jan 11: Financial Commissioner, Agriculture Production Department, Pramod Jain chaired a meeting of officers of Agriculture Department, CAD, Sericulture and Agro Industries Corporation to review the progress on implementation of  various Centrally Sponsored Schemes in the State.
Director Agriculture Jammu A K Malhotra, Director Agriculture Kashmir Showkat Ahmed Beigh, Director Command Area Manisha Sharma, Director Sericulture Dr Malik Farooq, Director Planning APD and Managing Director Agro Industries Corporation attended the meeting.
Jain directed the Nodal Officers of all the schemes to create their new Group IDs for every scheme separately so that the day-to-day progress of various schemes can be monitored. He asked the HODs of all the departments to submit progress reports regarding the schemes along with Utilization Certificates at the earliest so that the second installment due of all the schemes are received in time from Govt. of India  for proper and timely utilization of the funds during the current financial year.
He also stressed on utilizing the funds judiciously in a time bound manner and directed to transfer all benefits to the beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) based on Aadhar registration.
Financial Commissioner impressed upon the Head of Departments to designate one Nodal Officer in each district for preparation of base-line data of the farmers for implementation of DBT on fast track due during the ensuing financial year. He called upon all the officers to gear up the field functionaries to persuade and facilitate the farmers for 100% linkage with the banks to ensure the proper transfer of subsidies through DBT and flow of credit to the farmers through Kisan Credit Card (KCC) Scheme to encourage cash less transaction in a digital mode. He further instructed the HODs to mobilize their officers and field functionaries to focus on setting up of IT Platforms for convenience of farmers.
Jain directed the Nodal Officers of all schemes to formulate action plans for the year 2017-18 in time as per the time line fixed by Govt. of India so that the funds can be availed well in time.
