SAMBA, Sept 8: A father daughter duo was killed after the two wheeler they were traveling was hit by a truck bearing Registration Number JK 18A 8898 at SIDCO Chowk here, today.
The deceased were identified as Khushita and her father Sucha Lal, son of Dharam Chand residents of Nanak Chak Samba.
The duo was riding on a scooty bearing registration number JK21D3566. Both of them died on spot. They were shifted to DH Samba for postmortem. The Samba police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law and seized the vehicle.
The people protested against the accident and alleged that the main cause of increasing accidents in SIDCO Chowk Samba was wrong parking of trucks and over speeding of vehicles.
