JAMMU, Sept 2: R K Kakar, Joint Commissioner of Income Tax, Range-1 & 2, Jammu was given farewell today by the Income Tax Department as he relinquished charge to take up his new assignment at Income Tax Office, New Delhi.
In his farewell speech, A K Thatai, the Commissioner of Income Tax lauded R K Kakar’s role and services which he rendered during his stay at Income Tax Office, Jammu in bringing about a fair and transparent tax administration.
He described Mr Kakar as a very sincere, hardworking and unassuming officer who was devoted to his duties and put lot of hard work in achieving the Action Plan targets fixed for Income Tax Department at Jammu.
Mr Thatai wished him good luck, peaceful and contended life at his new place of work. Other officers who spoke on the occasion were Mini Chandran U, Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax (HQ), Amit Trakroo, B K Raina, Income Tax Officers and Vikas Kumar, Income Tax Inspector.
R K Kakar also expressed his gratitude to the officers and the staff at Jammu.
Rohit Mehra who joined as new Joint Commissioner of Income Tax in place of R K Kakar was also welcomed by the officers and staff of Income Tax Office, Jammu.
Meanwhile, the executive committee of J&K Branch of NIRC of ICAI led by its Chairman CA Vikram Garg called upon R K Kakar in the presence of A K Thatai and lauded the services rendered by him during his service tenure in Jammu.
CAs Anil Sharma, Shalay Razdhan, Sandeep Pachnanda and Deepak Kapahi, all executive members along with other CAs were also present on the occasion. The Executive Committee members of the branch also called upon Rohit Mehra on his joining as the new Joint Commissioner of Income Tax Range 1, 2 , 3 J&K in place of R K Kakar.
