Fame has given me the luxury of choice: Lupita Nyong’o

LOS ANGELES, Oct 2:  Actor Lupita Nyong’o says she feels privileged that her fame has given her the freedom to choose her work.
The Oscar-winning actor says she decides to pick a role if it stays with her even after finishing the script reading session, reported The Sunday Times’ Style magazine.
“I feel very privileged. It (fame) has given me the luxury of choice; I get to choose and work on things I can’t stop thinking about. That is how I choose a project – if I read the script and after I leave it, the character lingers in my head. If I am not terrified of the character, then it is probably not for me,” Nyong’o says.
The 34-year-old actor says her journey in Hollywood has made her more aware about her self.
“I am more familiar with (this world). I have my likes and dislikes. I know when I am spreading myself too thin. Now I know how many hours I need to sleep.” (PTI)
