JAMMU, Sept 27: Some fake marks sheets of class 12th and 10th candidates have been found uploaded on the official website of Jammu Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE).
The matter has been brought into the notice of Police following a written complaint in this regard by the BOSE office Jammu. Though Police has started investigation in this regard, no arrest was made yet.
As per the FIR number 0126/17, dated 26-09-2017, registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar, invalid results of 520 candidates of class 12th and 175 of class 10th were found posted on the JKBOSE official website, informed SHO Bakshi Nagar, Inspector  Ashwani Sharma.
The fraud came into light when a candidate approached the office of Joint Secretary, JKBOSE, Jammu Division, for authentication of the marks sheet, which was downloaded by him from the official website.
On verification the said certificate was found fake, which in turn led to scrutiny of   the entire record/results available on the official website. During the course of verification, fallacious results of 520 candidates of HSE-II (12th class) and 175 pertaining to SSE (class 10th), were found posted on the website, having no coherence with the official records, informed a spokesperson of the JKBOSE.
While Police is investigating the matter, BOSE has meanwhile also clarified that the net-generated marks certificates have no validity otherwise too and the same are made available just to facilitate the desirous candidates to apply for the re-evaluation or acquire Xerox copies of answer scripts, as the case may be.
