Expose anti-people policies of BJP: Manohar

KATHUA, Mar 9: Former Minister and president, DCC Kathua, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today asked the party cadre to expose the anti youth, anti people policies of the BJP Government while Vikramaditya Singh, ex-MLC said that BJP is trying to disturb communal harmony of the State.
They were addressing the party cadre during monthly Block Congress Committee (BCC) meeting of Kandi block at village Dhalli in Billawar, where they told all the party workers to get ready for upcoming elections at State and the Centre.
Dr Sharma instructed the party cadre to fully highlight the achievements of UPA 1 and UPA 2. He lambasted BJP by saying that during BJP’s tenure everything is getting lost likewise employment, water from handpumps, sugar from ration depots and many more. He further said due to anti youth policies of previous BJP-PDP Government, youth of district Kathua has suffered the worst as no new employment opportunity was provided.
“Closure of ReT scheme has further added to woes and despite directions from the court, no regularization of ReT has taken place. Adding to this, more than 62000 daily wagers who have completed more than 8 years in service are waiting for their regularization and pending wages in various departments while in each block major chunk of payments is pending under MGNREGA scheme, “he said, adding, in last 4.5 years Government has failed to generate employment opportunities both in public and private sector.
Addressing the meeting, Vikramaditya Singh warned BJP to stop dividing people on basis of religion. He said since the time of late Mahraja Gulab Singh and Maharaja Hari Singh, all the communities in the State has lived peacefully and showed brotherhood in the State but now BJP is trying hard to destabilize the communal harmony and brotherhood of the State which people of the State will never let happen. He further said in order to hide its failures and mis-governance, BJP is trying to indulge people in other ways.
Subash Gupta (ex-MLC) and Davinder Singh Bindu, said that BJP -PDP Government failed in providing compensation to cross border firing victims. He said kiths and kin of those who have died in cross border firing are still waiting for compensation; neither they have been provided the job nor 5 marla plots at safe places by the Government.
