KATHUA, Feb 10: The sleuths of Excise Department destroyed illicit liquor.
As per official sources, in order to curb the menace of illicit distillation of liquor, the Eradication and Enforcement Wing of Excise Department conducted raids in Saktachak, Plota, Sunjwan and Kundechak areas of Kathua district.
During the raids, the sleuths of Excise Department recovered 600 kilograms of lahan, one working still and seven bottles of illicit liquor, which was later destroyed on the spot.
The team led by ETO Excise Range Kathua, Sandeep Gupta and Eradication and Enforcement Wing Jammu led by ETO Eradication and Enforcement Dr Suraj Chander Singh along with Inspector’s Excise, Shadi Lal,Arun Kumar and Sub Inspector Prashant Mathur conducted the raids under the supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Ghanshyam Singh.
