Ex-MLA seeks action against youth heckling CRPF men

BISHNAH, Apr 16: Former MLA Bishnah and senior BJP leader, Ashwani Sharma has strongly condemned the heckling of CRPF men in Kashmir valley by some miscreants and termed it an act against the security of  the country.
He said that this act has brought the situation to the fore as in how much pressure security forces personnel are working in the trouble torn Kashmir.
“I salute to these CRPF men who adopted restraints and didn’t get provoked despite getting heckled at the hands of violent youth in Budgam area of  Kashmir. Videos show very disturbing pictures as CRPF men are being heckled in the middle of the road and people are merely acting as spectators,” Sharma said while addressing a public gathering here today.
The former MLA demanded arrest of all the people involved in the incident. “Some of them have already been arrested but others involved in the incident should also be arrested and put behind the bars. Strong action should be taken against them so that a clear message is sent across and nobody dares to take such a step in future,” Sharma added.
He also condemned Separatists for fuelling the trouble in Kashmir on the behest of Pakistan. “These separatists are provoking youth in the Valley to act against security forces and pelt stones. Their own children are sitting in safe zones and children of poor are being exploited to hurl stones on security forces,” the BJP leader said.
Ashwani Sharma was also critical of National Conference in general and its president Farooq Abdullah in particular for his double-speak. Condemning Farooq’s recent statements in which he glorified stone throwers and termed them as ‘nationalist’, Sharma said, ” he speaks one thing in Kashmir, another in Jammu and something else in New Delhi. Just to get votes and win an election, Farooq Abdullah is playing deceptive and vote bank politics, which I condemn in strong words.”
He further alleged that Bishnah constituency is lacking behind in all round development after 2014 Assembly elections. He  said  the incumbent MLA never turned back to see the people as in how much despair they are living. All the road networks have been damaged as potholes are order of the day everywhere.  Same is the case with in power sector.
