Srinagar, June 18: Minister of State for Housing & Urban Development Social Welfare, Health & Medical Education, Asiea Naqash today informed the House that Government would construct community centers in every constituency of the State.
Replying to the supplementaries, Naqash said that steps would be taken to complete under execution community centres including the one in Eidgah constituency.
Responding to the main question by Aga Ruhullah Mehdi, which was read by Shamim Fidous, the Minister said that Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has constructed Community Centers in different Municipal wards of the city.
The Minister said that the land has been identified at three places including Gogo, Humhama, Friends Enclave Humhama and Galwan Pora, Budgam and DPRs for the construction of the Community halls at these places have been framed.
She said that an amount of Rs 11 lakhs stands released for Gogo Humhama while as DPRs for an amount of Rs 6.75 crore in respect of Friends Enclave Humhama has been prepared and the case for the requisite approval is under process.
Regarding construction of Community hall at Galwan Pora, the Minister said that the structure has been raised and for its roofing and completion a proposal for an allocation of Rs 61.80 lakhs is being processed.
The Minister said that as far as construction of community hall at Bemina is concerned, no land has been identified/ available nor any DPR has been prepared so far.
