Ethan Hawke to appear in ‘Training Day’ TV series

LONDON, Feb 8:  “Boyhood” star Ethan Hawke will reportedly reprise his role as Jake Hoyt in the upcoming CBS TV adaptation of 2001 film “Training Day”.
According to Deadline, Hawke has been approached to appear on the series either in a regular or supporting role.
The TV series will be set 15 years after the events of the film – in which two LAPD cops (Hawke and Denzel Washington) team up over a 24 hour period in Los Angeles.
The new show will focus on a modern day LAPD department.
Hawke previously said that there was “a chance” of him being involved in the TV series.
“I really don’t know yet. You know, I’m not really sure what they want from me or whether they’re interested in having me.
The series is being done by CBS, with original director Antoine Fuqua directing and executive producing the pilot.
Alongside “Training Day”, the network is also working on series for films “Limitless” and “Rush Hour”. (PTI)
