ESRM stages ‘Kya Karein 2017’

JAMMU, Jan 2: Ek Sath Rang Mandal (ESRM) today presented Vijay Malla’s new progressive nukkad ‘Kya Karein 2017’ in its Monday Theatre Series at Pacca Talab, Municipal Park near Rehari Chungi, Jammu.
The nukkad opens with head of a family, Som Nath, waiting eagerly to greet his all family members on the eve of New Year. He has noted down mistakes and lapses of his family members committed in 2016.
All the members of the Som Nath’s family whether they are students or teachers and in service, they have left some incomplete jobs last year. Father asks them one by one that what their target is for the New Year.
Secondly, he asks them that what special they will do in the next year. Finally, he reminds them their last year’s mistakes. No doubt this was a surprise meeting for them, but they appreciated the idea. The old man wanted to know their next year plans.
Individually every member is given special attention by knowing their plans. Likewise, elder son is asked what his plans for the year 2017 are regarding different issues like attention to his children, domestic needs and other necessary jobs.
Then the elder man asks his housewife that what her planning is for monthly domestic purchases and expenses. Students were told that they should maintain daily timetable for their studies. The old man also advised all the members to condemn corruption. They should be honest and punctual.
Every family member was surprised and excited to know and learn his advises. They promise him that they will newer repeat the mistakes which they have committed last year and will act as per his advise.
Those who acted in the play were Kanta Sharma, Raju Mad, Qurat-Ul-Ain, Anuroop Pathania, Prabal Sharma, Munish Kerni, Rahul Dev, Ashok Sharma and Vijay Malla. The play was written and directed by Vijay Malla and assisted by Anuroop Pathania.
