JAMMU, Aug 7: Ek Sath Rang Mandal (ESRM) today presented it’s 259th Monday Theatre with Vijay Malla’s new awareness Nukkad “Ghatak Dhaaga” in collaboration with Unison Cultural Troupe at “Jhuggi Jounpadi”, Janipur-Ploura link road near JDA Colony Paloura Jammu.
Our culture traditions and ceremonies are full of entertainment and enjoyment since centuries. Raksha bandhan is very much auspicious and important occasion of our culture which has faith and respect between sister and brother. Besides this day is more important for kite flying in this region.
Kite flying is a game with excitement for our young generation but for the past few years this kite flying has become risky and dangerous because of Chinese thread (Gattu) being used by our young generation to prove supremacy in the game. A house lady is fed up with her sons who despite of injuries again and again use this dangerous thread. She finally approaches Sarpanch Laxman Dass, who summons her sons and their friends threatening them that they could be imprisoned as Chinese thread stands banned by the Government. Laxman Dass tells them how and why this thread is fatal and dangerous for mankind. He tells them that they cannot risk their life for your enjoyment. It is dangerous for birds and animals too who get injured by this thread. You cannot challenge the law of land by using this fatal thread.
Laxman Dass finally requests parents also that they should be cautious about using this banned thread by their children.
A large nunber of children and their parents witnessed this Nukkad and appreciated the efforts of ESRM.  Those who enacted were Kanta Sharma, Gopal Singh, Qurat-ul-Ain, Gopal Verma, Inderjeet Singh Sambyal, Raju Mad, Ashok Sharma, Harsh Gupta and Vijay Malla. The Nukkad was written and directed by Vijay Malla.
