JAMMU, Nov 13: Ek Sath Rang Mandal (ESRM) today presented Vijay Malla’s new progressive nukkad “Ek Duo Teen” under its Monday Theatre Series at Municipal Park, Patoli Morh, Old Janipur, Jammu.
Vijay Malla’s ‘Ek Duo Teen’ throws light on the menace of drug addiction and its adverse results on our younger generation. The play highlights that only slogans, posters and banners cannot solve this problem of drug addiction and only way to root out this menace is counseling of the youth.
The play is based on an old man who is on a mission against drug addiction. As the play opens, the old man interacts with some youth who feel insecure in the company of certain friends who are drug addicted.
The old man explains them about his mission against drug addiction in detail. He says that all children must take three major cautions which can definitely be useful against drug addiction. He said that the first caution is that you should never create an atmosphere which can make you tense, besides you should make only good friends.
“Second important caution is that you must know the adverse effects of drug addiction and the third caution is that you must avoid the company of those students whom you smell bad, even if they are your close friends”, he says and adds that if you find them indulging in bad habits it is your moral duty to inform their parents to save their lives.
Actors who acted in the nukkad were Inderjeet Singh Sambyal, Quarat-ul-Ain, Raju Mad, Ashok Sharma, Kanav Sharma, Mohit, Shiv Kumar and Vijay Malla. The play was written and directed by Vijay Malla.
