ESRM presents ‘Atamvishwas’

JAMMU, Jan 9: Ek Sath Rang Mandal (ESRM) today presented Vijay Malla’s progressive nukkad ‘Atamvishwas’ here at BC Park of Floriculture Department, Jammu, under its Monday Theatre series.
The play educates that self confidence is very important aspect of one’s life particularly for young generation. If we lose our self-confidence success will be more difficult task for us. Loss of self confidence can create depression which can be fatal for our future.
The play revolves around two children (Renu and Ashok) of a retired teacher. Both Renu and Ashok are hardworking and bright students. Their father Sham Lal guides them in studies.
One day Renu gets a negative remark from her school teacher that she is weak in English subject and she should work hard for this subject. Renu is disturbed and perturbed by such remarks of her teacher.
She becomes quite and starts thinking about this negative remark. She starts losing confidence and becomes lazy day by day. Ashok (her brother) observes her attitude and laziness. Ashok becomes suspicious about her sister’s attitude. Now, Renu usually loose her temper when asked the cause of her changing ways. Ashok is worried and shares this story with his father and other members of family.
Sham Lal calls Renu to be present among all members of the family. Renu is asked to tell the reality behind the change in her behavior. Renu is finally in tears and relates her problem that she was told by her teacher that she should take care of English subject.
The father reaches to conclusion that Renu is good at studies no doubt but she has lost her self confidence. He advises her not to lose her self confidence with any negative remark and rather work hard to overpower her weaknesses. Renu is convinced by her father’s advice and promises that she will never lose confidence come what may.
Actors who acted in the play were Kamli Devi, Qurat-ul-Ain, Ashok Sharma, Raju Mad, Munish Kerni, Mohit and Vijay Malla. The Play was written and directed by Vijay Malla and assisted by Qurat-ul-Ain.
