JAMMU, Feb 3: A six week Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme organized by MSME Development Institute in association with Food Craft Institute, Jammu got concluded today during which Y.V.Sharma, President Chamber of Commerce and Industry was the chief guest.
The programme curriculum was designed in such a way to provide maximum technical knowhow to the selected 18 participants. During the programme entrepreneurial inputs were given to participants for 10-days and for 20-days participants were exposed to preparation of various food and bakery items like cookies, cakes, pastries, biscuits etc. All the participants were women and stipend was paid to them on successful completion of the training programme.
Y.V.Sharma, president Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Jammu while delivering his address stressed upon the need of self employment in the present scenario of unemployment. He appreciated the efforts put in by MSME DI Jammu and Food Craft Institute, Jammu in successfully conducting such result oriented skill based programmes.
Earlier Virinder Sharma, Director, MSME DI Jammu in his welcome address spoke about the various activities of MSME and initiative of the institute in the promotion of self employment among the unemployment youth of the State more so in far flung area.
Jyoti Bhatti, Principal, Food Craft Institute, Jammu said that Food Craft Institute is engaged in imparting skills in the area of Food Processing, House Keeping and front office etc. and unemployed youth can avail the benefit of getting skill by attending various skill development programmes.
18 successful women participants were provided certificates during this valedictory function.
