Entire staff of all ex-Ministers withdrawn

JAMMU, Jan 14:  Amidst indications that formation of a popular Government in Jammu and Kashmir may take some more time, the Governor’s administration today ordered repatriation of staff, posted in Personal Section of the former Ministers.
These include officers belonging to J&K Secretariat (Gazetted) Service, other Gazetted Services, HoD Cadre, Class IV officials  of  J&K Secretariat (Subordinate) Service,  different PSUs,  Heads of  the Departments, Corporations and  the persons, who were engaged by the General Administration Department on contract to work in Personal Section of then  Ministers.
The officers/officials of the J&K Secretariat Service shall report in the feeding department of the concerned former Ministers, as the case may be, till further order while the officers/officials belonging to HoD cadre, Offices and Corporations shall report back to their parent departments with immediate effect.
The persons, who were engaged by the GAD on contract to work in the Personal Section of the former Ministers, shall be paid salary upto January 7, 2016 only and their period of contract shall stand terminated on the said date, as per the terms and conditions of their engagement.
A formal order in this regard, Government Order No. 26-GAD of 2016, Dated 14-01-2016, was issued today by the General Administration Department.
Pertinent to mention that Governor’s Rule was imposed in Jammu and Kashmir on January 8, following the death of then Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed after a brief illness on January 7.
Among the repatriated staff, there are 27 officers belonging to J&K Secretariat (Gazetted) Service  and other Gazetted  Services, 11 officers belonging to HoD cadre, 70 Class-IV officials of J&K Secretariat (Subordinate) Service, 31 Class-IV employees of different PSUs and HoDs, otherwise attached with the GAD and 33 Class -IV employees belonging to various HoDs/ offices/ Corporations.
