Ensure un-interrupted supply of power, water: Rangil Singh

JAMMU, May 28: Unscheduled power cuts, especially at peak hours, need to be minimized along with better synergy between Power Development Department and Public Health Engineering Department to stop disruption in water supply to rid the people from inconvenience during current summer.
Stating this at media interaction at Jammu on Thursday, the PDP vice president, Rangil Singh said that the Government led by the Chief Minister, Mehooba Mufti was well aware of the problems faced by the people and was strongly committed to provide immediate healing touch.
Referring to the unprecedented development initiatives taken by the Chief Minister, Mr Singh said that betterment and satisfaction of each citizen especially in hitherto neglected areas of the State, is the top most priority of the Government.  He reminded that the Chief Minister has initiated special incentives for a comprehensive road map to augment and restrictive power segment.
Referring to various development projects for Jammu Division, Mr Singh said that Chief Minister has imparted special emphasis on landscaping and renovation of Mubarak Mandi complex in order to preserve its cultural heritage as also bring Jammu on World Tourism map. Both Jammu and Katra are holy cities in which pilgrim tourism is being promoted on priority basis in different phases. In the primary phase, these cities are being given face lifting,” he said and stressed for urgent attention  to develop the infrastructure at Patnitop tourist resort  to attract more tourist, especially after opening  of new tunnel where – Kud and Batote towns are bye-passed.
Reaffirming that the women socio-economic emancipation and skill development for the youth were the priorities of the Chief Minster, Mr Singh said that efforts are afoot to arrange special bus and mini-bus  services for the lady commuters -in the main cities including Jammu. He reminded that the minorities, transporters, youth, peasants, SCs and OBCs, Gujjar Bakarwal communities are on the radar of the Government and it is well planned to dispense justice to every section of the society for peace- and prosperity of the State.
