Employees urge VC JDA to redress issues

JAMMU, Mar 7: Jammu Development Authority (JDA) Employees and Workers Union appealed to the Vice Chairman JDA to fulfill the long pending demands of the employees so that they work with more zeal.
Addressing a press conference, Chairman of the Union Rajinder Kumar assured VC JDA of full cooperation in fulfilling of various projects and removal of encroachments.
He added that extraordinary efforts by the VC has brought revenue to the authority by auctioning of shops and halls at multi tier shopping complex at general bus stand bringing revenue of Rs 15 to 20 crore, removal of encroachment at Wave Mall and auctioned of the land for Rs 4.75 crore steps initiated to start Tawi River front and demarcation of 22000 kanals of JDA land worth crores of rupees.
Rajinder Kumar also informed about the projects completed/undertaken by the Vice Chairman, which include completion of construction of Maharaja Hari Singh Park, construction of treasury building complex, completion of work at Rajinder Nagar park, construction/completion of Dewana Mandir park, construction of Janipur park completed, construction of additional 6 towers of flats at Muthi under proves and 700 to 800 kanals of land was tar fenced.
He also informed that they held a meeting with VC to project our demands. VC assured to redress the issues, Rajinder Kumar added.
Among others present were Ravinder Koul, Kamal Dubey, Pardeep Sadotra, Subash Chander and Des Raj.
