JAMMU, Jan 1: A delegation of J&K Govt Employees, Casual Labour, Workers and Pensioners United Platform comprising various heads of federation / associations and unions under the leadership of its State convener Mohammad Gafoor Dar called on Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti at her official residence Wazart Road, Jammu and submitted a charter of demands.
The major issues projected included framing of regularization policy for need base casual labours of all department engaged after 1994 and release pending wages under proper wages head, immediate implementation of 7th Pay Commission for State employees at par with Central Govt employees.
The delegation made it clear to the Chief Minister that most genuine demand of casual labours of all departments engaged after 1994 for their regularization policy is the top most priority of united platform and demanded sympathetic consideration regarding their regularization in the present budget session.
Chief Minister heard the delegation patiently and assured that the demands of casual labours regarding their regularization is under active consideration of Govt and the issue will be addressed shortly.
Prominent trade unionists who accompanied the delegation were S. Kulwant Singh, Hari Singh, Tanveer Hussain, Abdul Ahad Bandroo, Rajinder Kumar, Nazir Ahmed Molvi, Shahid Hussain, Vikramjeet Singh, Deepak Gupta, Ranjit Singh Rana, Akhil Sharma, Punit Sharma, Pardeep Singh, Bhanu Partap Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Surjit Manyal, Raj Singh, Karan Singh, Subash Chander and Vijay Choudhary.
