Members of Roads and Transport Corporation Workers Union assembled at Press Enclave here and alleged that the employees of the erstwhile Government Transport Undertaking (GTU) were being benefited with some arrears out of budgetary support provided to the department for its welfare and functioning. “It’s not a wise decision. If the funds are diverted to any other head the Corporation will hardly survive,” a protester said.
The protesters also demanded redressal of their long pending demands including saving the assets of the JKSRTC,  37% DA, DPC, and implementation of SRO 43.
