Election a historic opportunity for people to end misrule : Mehbooba

BHADERWAH, Nov 8: People’s Democratic Party president and Member Parliament Mehbooba Mufti today said that coming Assembly election is the historic opportunity for the people of State to liberate themselves from the misrule and exploitation of National Conference.
Addressing a large public meeting here today Mehbooba Mufti said that PDP aims at changing the entire system to ensure justice, development  and increase opportunities of growth for all. In order to make the change in the Government purposeful  and result-oriented, the PDP which is now leading the popularity chart, must receive a decisive mandate to take firm decisions to come down heavily on corruption and mismanagement  of natural resources.
The PDP president said that   all the regions and communities of the State are now eagerly waiting to become part of the change  that is imminent after the collapse of National Conference and Congress. She claimed that forthcoming elections offer a historic opportunity to the people to liberate themselves from the exploitation of the NC which has been thriving on their blood  and misery since 1947.  It is encouraging to see that people of Chenab region have made up their mind to go for a change this time.
Referring to the local issues, Mehbooba said the Bhaderwah area after having remained the hub of education and intellectual activities even during pre-independence era has suffered deterioration in education facilities due to lack of genuine representation  and Government concern. Students community have to badly suffer because of lack of proper infrastructure  and teaching staff in educational institutions. PDP would resolve the issues of this community as well. They are also lacked in proper medical facilities. There is no staff in the hospitals though some infrastructure was raised. Road connectivity is yet another problem in many areas. No sufficient funds are provided to the tourism sector for development though there is much potential. She sought the public support for the party candidate Mehboob Iqbal.
