Eight injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Mar 15: Eight persons were injured in separate road accidents occurred  today in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, two youth identified as Pawan Kumar (32) son of Surinder and Shubham (20) son of Madan, whose residential particulars could not be ascertained, were injured when a bike on which they were travelling, was hit by a speeding tipper at Akhnoor.
Two persons also sustained injuries when a load carrier (Auto) collided with a car at Belicharana. The injured were identified as Vinod Kumar (25) son of Chuni Lal, resident of Phlain Mandaal and Mohinder Pal (35) son of Tani Ram, resident of Akhnoor.
In a hit and run case, two pedestrians identified as Sunita (19) daughter of Dashrath, resident of Preet Nagar (Digiana) and Balwant Singh (55) of Digiana, were hit and injured by an unknown vehicle at Gangyal Chowk.
A motorcyclist identified as Ajay Kumar (35) son of Ashok Kumar, resident of Chakroi (RS Pura) got injured when his bike was hit by a rashly driven tipper at Chakroi. A pedestrian namely Nek Ram (40) son of Deepak, resident of  Bhagwati Nagar, was hit and injured by a speeding truck at Shakti Nagar on Jammu-Akhnoor Road.
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu. In all cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance.
