Eight-day Yog Dhyan Sadhna Shivir concludes

UDHAMPUR, Apr 16: Eight-day long bi-annual “Yog Dhyan Sadhna Shivir” of Mahatma Rasila Ram Vedic Gurukul Vanprasth Ashram” concluded here at village Hartryan -Garhi.
The main activities of the shivir included religious rituals like daily Agnihotra (Samved Parayan Yagya), bhajans and pravachans by the director and chief patron of the Ashram of Mahatma Chaitnya Muni Ji, Mata Satyapriya Yati Ji and Acharya Satya Prakash Neshtik Ji from Karnal (Haryana).
The dignitaries who graced the valedictory function include chief guest, SD Singh Jamwal, IGP Jammu, Guest of honour, Kavinder Gupta, Speaker, J&K State Assembly and Pawan Gupta, MLA Udhampur.
In his welcome address, Bharat Bhushan Anand, chairman of the Trust, apprised the guests and participants about the activities of the Ashram. He informed that every year Ashram is holding two bi-annual eight-day long Residential “Yog Dhyan Sadhna Shivirs (camps)”, providing free residential facility and education to the needy and poor students from remote areas of the State, running a Gowshala and a free Dispensary.
Bharat Bhushan Arya, president of the management committee of the Ashram, explained that about 200-225 participants from different parts of the country attended the Shivir (camp).
