Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, May 24: Lauding the role of the Army in responding to the needs of the situation along LoC and to repulse the Pakistan’s continued repeated violations and violence, PCC chief spokesperson and former MLC  Ravinder Sharma said that more adequate and befitting response is needed to avenge the mutilation of soldiers.
Sharma praised the bravery and role of the Indian Army in meeting the challenges of Pakistan and to defeat her evil designs, but more effective and befitting response is expected by the border residents from the Modi Government, in the wake of repeated mischief’s and cowardly acts of mutilating the bodies of our soldiers thrice in the recent times.
There is lot of anger amongst the people, as several civilians have also been martyred by repeated ceasefire violation by Pakistan targeting civilian population. Three persons lost lives, five other were injured and thousands of civilians are displaced in Nowshera sector since last few days because of heavy shelling by Pakistan. This needs to be adequately responded by Modi Government.  He said the time has come for Prime Minister Modi to show the 56 inch chest to Pakistan and demolish the terror infrastructure near LoC, as several training camps have been activated in PoK as per reports in the media,  and hundreds of terrorists are ready to infiltrate. All such attempts should be effectively thwarted and extra vigil is required in the wake of forthcoming Shri Amarnath Yatra.
Meanwhile,  Ravinder Sharma has criticized the functioning of Power Department in district Rajouri, as a result there is strong resentment amongst people in different localities whose genuine grievances regarding repairs and replacement of damaged transformers are not attended to for weeks together.
Sharma regretted that department officers are not responding to the grievances of the people in this scorching heat and minor faults or damaged transformers are not replaced for weeks together, causing great sufferings to the people. He said in several localities 3 to 4 weeks are taken to replace the damaged transformers.  He demanded an appropriate action to make the administration responsive and accountable at all levels so that people do not suffer.
