Educational institutions celebrate Republic Day

JAMMU, Jan 28: The 69th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour by various educational institutions across Jammu province where Tri-colour was hoisted and cultural activities were presented by the students to mark the occasion.
The Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at University of Jammu (JU). Prof RD Sharma, Vice Chancellor, JU, unfurled the National Flag and released the Tri-colour balloons. In his address, Prof Sharma called upon all stakeholders of the university to set their goals of creation and dissemination of knowledge in order to create the knowledgeable society. A patriotic group song was also presented by the students of Institute of Music & Fine Arts.
Central University of Jammu (CUJ) celebrated 69th Republic Day at main campus, Bagla and temporary academic block, Sainik Colony campus. Prof Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor, CUJ, unfurled the National Flag at both the places. In his speeches, Prof Aima, recalled the sacrifices made by our national leaders soon after independence in order to make India a true republic.
The 69th Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour at BGSB University. Prof Javed Mussarat, Vice Chancellor of the University hoisted the National Flag. While speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor paid rich tributes to the freedom fighters and highlighted the inclusive and secular character of the constitution.
The Republic Day was celebrated at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) with fanfare and gaiety. Vice Chancellor, Prof Sanjeev Jain, took the guard of honour given by the security staff and unfurled the National Flag. The students presented a cultural bonanza. Certificates were also given to the various winners of in-house events.
Dogra Group of Colleges celebrated its 69th Republic Day in Bari Brahmana Campus with patriotic fervour. Chairman of Dogra Educational Trust and former Minister of Higher Education, Th Gulchain Singh Charak, who was the chief guest on the occasion, unfurled the National Flag in the presence of students and the staff of Dogra Law College, Dogra College of Education and Dogra Degree College.
Management Committee, staff and students of all the educational institutions i.e. Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research, Trikuta Degree College, Trikuta College of Education, Jammu College of Physiotherapy and Sain Charitable Institute of Paramedical Sciences under the banner of Shri Sain Charitable Trust for Higher Education and Research, Nardani (Raipur) celebrated Republic Day with great pomp and show. The National flag was unfurled by the Chairperson of the Trust, Suman Sharma.
The Republic Day was celebrated in Sant Mela Singh College of Education, Digiana, Jammu. Chairman of the college, Prof Anmol Singh, unfurled the National Flag and took salute from college contingents. A colourful programme was presented by the college students.
Ramisht College of Education hoisted National Flag on the eve of 69th Republic Day in which Chairman of the college, Rajinder Parshadm Saifullah Khan (Principal) along with staff members and students presented their views on Republic Day.
Republic Day was celebrated in the premises of Chenab College of Education and Baldev Infotech Systems with great enthusiasm and fervour. The function began with unfurling of the Tricolour by Dr Inderjeet Kour, Principal of the college. Thereafter, National Anthem was sung in unison by the students and faculty members.
The 69th Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic zeal at Gandhi Memorial College of Education, Raipur, Bantalab (Jammu). Dr Satesh Bhan, general secretary (HESK), along with Principal of the College, unfurled the Tricolour, which was followed by National Anthem. The college students presented a captivating cultural bonanza focused on patriotism.
Narsingh Dev Nursing and Paramedical College, Ram Nagar celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm. The flag hoisting was done by BMO, Mohd Farooq and Chairman of the College, Dr Pardeep Gupta. A cultural programme was also presented by the students.
NCC Cadets of 2nd J&K Girls Battalion and 2nd J&K Boys Battalion of Government Degree College, RS Pura, participated in Republic Day celebrations at Bana Singh Stadium, RS Pura. The Boys Battalion participated in March Past whereas Girls Battalion presented NCC song “Hum Sab Bharatiya Hain” under the supervision of NCC incharge, Prof Bindu Kumari.
Government Polytechnic, Bikram Chowk, Jammu celebrated Republic Day with great fervour in the college premises. Arun Bangotra, Principal of the Institute, hoisted the National flag and threw light on the importance of the day and advised the students to dedicate themselves to the nation and work for the progress and prosperity of the country.
Different wings of Sai Shyam Educational Society celebrated 69th Republic Day in the college complex. Students of Sai Shyam College of Education, VIVO Healthcare Training Centre and Sai Shyam Public Higher Secondary School performed various cultural and dance items. Earlier, Chairman of the Institution, CL Tickoo hoisted the National Flag in presence of staff and students.
The Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at KC International School. A great sense of enthusiasm and affection was seen among the students of KCIS through their songs and dance performances. The patriotic fervour continued with a variety of cultural programmes organized in the school premises.
The 69th Republic Day was celebrated in Delhi Public School Nagbani, Jammu – (West) today with great patriotic zeal and fervor. The day began with cultural programme. The entire school premises reverberated with rhythmic beats of “Rang-de-Basanti” and the students dancing to it with the tri color fluttering in the air.
The school premises of JP World School, Jammu were filled with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere today as the school celebrated 69th Republic Day. Republic Day was celebrated at DPS Udhampur with great reverence in the school. The Day began with special assembly followed by cultural program including skits, dances and patriotic songs which was presented by the students. The Pro-Vice Chairman spoke eloquently about the diverse nation and the relevance of the constitution and the preamble.
SOS Hermann Gmeiner School Jammu celebrated Republic Day with great reverence. The Day began with Morning Prayer followed by flag hoisting by Principal RK Dhar. The four houses of school namely Chenab, Jhelum, Ravi and Tawi performed a spectacular March Past. Speeches in both English and Hindi were delivered by the students to highlight the importance of the Day.
Vishwa Bharati Public Higher Secondary School, Akalpur Morh, Jammu celebrated Republic Day with extreme patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. A special morning assembly was organized in which students delivered speeches and sang patriotic songs. A mesmerizing ‘Fancy Dress Show’ was displayed by students of class 2nd and 3rd.
Stephens International Public School celebrated the Republic Day with patriotic fervour and gaiety in the school. The celebration commence with the customary prayer song followed by the beautiful play displaying how our soldiers take turn in guarding us across the border. The program ended with the National Anthem led by the school choir.
Carmel Convent Higher Secondary celebrated 69th Republic Day. To mark the importance of this day, a special prayer service was held and homage was paid to all the freedom fighters. The school echoed with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm as the children sang ‘Mera Rang De Basanti Chola’. The songs and dance created true spirit of Patriotism.
69th Republic Day was celebrated in Crescent Public School with full enthusiasm and valour. The function began with the lighting of lamp. Tasneem Kouser, Managing Director and Bhavna Kaushal, Principal, unfurled the Tricolour. Thereafter tricolour balloons were released in the sky by Tasneem Kouser.
Republic Day was celebrated by the staff and students of Rich Harvest School, Bari Brahmana with patriotic fervor. The Tricolor was hoisted by the Principal, Anita Bhatia. Rich tributes were paid to the freedom fighters and architect of Indian constitution, Dr B R Ambedkar. A cultural programme with patriotic flavor was presented by the children. The celebration culminated with singing of National Anthem.
Dewan Devi Playway/ Higher Secondary School celebrated Republic Day with great patriotic fervor in the school premises. A variety of cultural programme highlighting the unity and diversity of India were presented by the students. Earlier, principal of the school hoisted the National Flag.
The student and staff of Mahavir Jain Higher Secondary School, Jammu celebrated Republic Day in the school campus with devotion and enthusiasm. Tricolour was unfurled by the chief guest, Prof BL Jain (president, Jain Educational Trust). The students presented a captivating cultural bonanza focused on patriotism.

The chief guest, Gita Sharma, unfurled the Tricolour and accepted the salute and guard of honour by the massive march past of students. The National Flag was unfurled by the Managing Director of the School, Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, which was followed by National Anthem. Some skits related to struggle of independence of the nation and patriotic songs were presented by the students.
A fabulous function was organized in the premises of Maharaja Hari Singh DAV Public Higher Secondary School, Udhampur to celebrate Republic Day. Romesh Sharma, Chairman of the institution, unfurled the National flag. The students presented a beautiful cultural programme on the occasion comprising dances, plays and skits.
Students and staff of Shoba Model Higher Secondary School, Laxmi Puram, Chinore celebrated 69th Republic Day in the school premises, here. School Principal, Bharat Bhushan Goel hoisted the National Flag amidst chanting of National Anthem.
Indira Public Higher Secondary School, Shant Nagar, Janipur celebrated Republic Day with pomp and show in the school premises. Daljit Singh Chib, Chairman Kissan Board of Jammu and Kashmir was the chief guest on the occasion, while Sanjay Padha, Managing Director of the School presided over the function. Bimal Indu, SHO Janipur and Randhir Singh Slathia, vice president Youth NC J&K were the guests of honour. Chib hoisted the National Flag in presence of other dignitaries.
Republic Day was celebrated in KNIT Green Model Academy Sangrampore, Jammu with patriotic fervor. Chief guest, Bindya Kotwal, unfurled the National flag. This was followed by March Past and a colourful cultural programme depicting the rich cultural heritage of our country.
MNKG Montessori Public High School Gandhinagar Jammu celebrated 69th Republic Day with great zeal. Chairman and Principal of the School, hoisted the National flag along with chanting of National Anthem. Students presented their views on Republic Day and sang patriotic songs.
Spring Blossoms Public School, Lakkar Mandi as well as Bakshi Nagar celebrated Republic Day with patriotic fervor. The celebrations commenced with the customary unfurling of National flag, followed by the National Anthem. The school choir chanted the ‘gayatri mantra’ and a vibrant rhythmic drill by the students.
Kartar Public School, Barnoti celebrated the 69th Republic Day with gaiety and fervour. The National Flag was hoisted and the NCC cadets presented a colourful march-past. The students presented a group song, some patriotic songs and speeches. Tiny Tots of the pre-primary section presented a patriotic dance. In the end, the students presented their school song edifying the values of the school.
The 69th Republic Day was celebrated at Lawrence Public School by students of Panjtirthi and Sidhra branch with great patriotic zeal and fervor. The day began with the hoisting of Tricolour, followed by the National Anthem. The entire school courtyard reverberated with the rhythmic beats of “Rang de Basanti” and the Middle school students dancing to it with the tricolour flags fluttering in the air.
Doon International School held a grand celebration to mark the 69th Republic Day. The students presented a mesmerizing patriotic and cultural program along with short speeches on the importance of the Day. The highlight of the programme was the March Past led by the School Head Boy and Sports Captain along with the Captains and the Vice Captains of the four Houses.
JK Montressorie British School and its affiliated unit, JK Little Millennium International School, celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm by putting up a brief cultural show comprising different patriotic speeches, songs, rhymes and dances in a special assembly by the pre- primary and primary wing of the school. The Tri-colour was unfurled by the Management staff members.
The School for Deaf and Dumb, Jammu being run by J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra (an NGO) celebrated Republic Day in school premises with fervor and enthusiasm. Four students of the school including three Judo award winners, unfurled the National Flag. Principal of the School, Roshan Bhan, explained through sign language the importance of the Republic Day. On the occasion, President of the NGO, KB Jandial, along with Treasurer, MD Sharma, distributed snack boxes among all students.
MHS DAV Cent Public School celebrated Republic Day with patriotic fervor and gaiety in the school. The celebrations commenced with the customary unfurling of National Flag. The students chanted the National Anthem and many patriotic songs. The small kids of kindergarten section were smartly dressed up playing roles of brave freedom fighters. Teachers also sung beautiful patriotic songs.
Bhartiya Vidya Mandir High School Udhampur celebrated Republic Day with great reverence. The programme started with flag hosting by Principal, Renu sharma and Saraswati Vandana by students. Thereafter, students presented various cultural items including patriotic songs, dances and skit. Teachers also expressed their views on Republic Day.
Standard Institute of Education, Rown Dhar Road, Udhampur celebrated Republic Day with full fervor. Chief Guest, Chan Singh, Principal of the School, hoisted the National Flag in school assembly ground. On this occasion, a beautiful cultural programme was presented by the students.
Dream Land Public School, Village Sial Jattan, in Udhampur, celebrated Republic Day. Principal of the School unfurled the National flag in the premises of school. On the occasion, school children presented a cultural programme comprising skits and dances.
Bhartiya Vidya Mandir High School, Udhampur, celebrated Republic Day with patriotic fervor. The programme started with flag hoisting by Principal, Renu Sharma and Saraswati Bandana by students. Through skit, students gave message how freedom fighters sacrificed their lives for freedom of the country.
Fauji Public School, Village Patti, Samba celebrated 69th Republic Day with zeal and zest. Principal of the School, Anjana Sharma unfurled the Tri-colour amidst chanting of the National Anthem.
Rural Model Diamond Public School, Barta Ritti, Udhampur celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm. Chairman of the School, Shar Singh, unfurled the National flag, which was followed by a beautiful cultural programme presented by the students.
Dream Land Public School, Udhampur celebrated the 69th Republic Day in the school premises. Chairman of the School, Om Parkash Sadotra, unfurled the National flag and it was followed by a beautiful cultural programme presented by the students.
Amar Jyoti Public School, Kandyar (Udhampur) celebrated 69th Republic Day with full enthusiasm. The function began with unfurling of the Tri-colour by the chief guest, Ajay Gupta, general secretary J&K PSA. Thereafter a cultural program was presented by the students.
Sanmati Vimal Jain Academy celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm. The celebrations began with unfurling of Tri-color by president of the School, Sanjay Sharma. Thereafter a beautiful patriotic dance-cum-skit was presented by the students.
JK Public Higher Secondary School, Udhampur celebrated Republic Day in the school premises. Managing Director of the school, Manender Singh Bawa along with Principal, Kawal Bawa, unfurled the Tri-color flag. Thereafter all in unison sang the National Anthem.
Staff and students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sunjuwan celebrated Republic Day with flag hoisting ceremony performed by Principal, Manish Tuli. Students performed group songs and dances on patriotic songs. A movie on Paramveer Chakra was screened for the students and staff members of the school.
Kendriya Vidyalaya No 2, Akhnoor celebrated the 69th Republic Day in its premises. Principal of the Vidyalaya, Didar Singh Chahal, hoisted the National flag. It was followed by the National Anthem and dance performances on patriotic songs by the students.
The 69th Republic Day of India was celebrated with patriotic fervour in the serene campus of APS BD Bari. The programme commenced with the hoisting of the National flag by the chief guest, Col V Santhosh, Dy Commander 92 Infantry Brigade along with Neeta Rawal, Principal, APS BD Bari. It was followed by an array of cultural programmes mesmerizing the audience.
Army Public School Jammu Cantt celebrated Republic Day with great fervour and gaiety in the school campus. The entire school was festooned with balloons giving a patriotic ambience to the surroundings. The day commenced with a special assembly wherein a cultural program having a variety of performances was organized.

Government Model Higher Secondary School (Boys), Udhampur, celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm. On this occasion, Principal, VP Sharma, unfurled the National flag and exhorted the students to develop patriotic spirit and serve their country with dedication.
Republic Day was celebrated in the premises of Sanatan Dharam Higher Secondary Kanya Vidyalaya, Jullaka Mohalla, Jammu, by hoisting the National Flag, by Suresh Sharma, president of the Vidyalaya. Some students also gave speeches on the importance of the Day.
Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS), Nowabad celebrated Republic Day with fervor and gaiety. The National Flag was hoisted by Principal of the institution, Anita Zutshi. It was followed by a short but colourful cultural programme presented by the students.

Government Boys Higher Secondary School (GBHSS), Gole Gujral celebrated Republic Day with great fervor. Principal, Pushpinder Gupta, hoisted the National flag. It was followed by National Anthem and then a cultural programme presented by the students.
The Republic Day was celebrated in Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Bhour Camp. Principal, Anjali Gupta, hoisted the National flag. Thereafter, all the students and staff members sang National Anthem.
GHSS Sunderbani, Nowshera and Kalakote celebrated 69th Republic Day with patriotic fervour. The programme began with prayer followed by the flag hoisting by chief guest, Kartar Singh, SDM Sunderbani. The programme began with singing of National Anthem by students from different private and Government schools, who also displayed cultural items and skits. The chief guest in GHSS Nowshera was SDM Nowshera, Abdul Sattar while in GHSS Kalakote, it was SDM Kalakote, Khalid Hussain.
GHSS Ghou Manhasan celebrated Republic Day with great reverence. The day began with a prayer, followed by flag hoisting by Principal of the institution, Purshotam Dutt Sharma. Thereafter, a cultural programme including patriotic songs and a skit was presented by the students.
The Republic Day was celebrated with pomp and show in the premises of GHSS Khoon. Principal, DP Sharma, hoisted the National flag. A cultural programme was presented by the students in the form of skits, short plays and dances on patriotic themes.
GBHSS, Nowabad celebrated Republic Day with pomp and show. Principal, Subhash Gupta, hoisted the Tri-colour and a variety of cultural programmes were presented by the students to mark the occasion.
GHSS Mahanpur celebrated 69th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and fervour. Tehsildar Mahanpur Jai Singh was the chief guest, who unfurled National Flag in presence of Principal Narinder Singh, staff members and students.
The 69th Republic Day was celebrated by the staff members and students of GHSS Thatharka, Ramban with zeal and enthusiasm. The National Flag was hoisted by the Incharge Principal, Mohd Rafie Beig, which was followed by cultural activities.
GHSS Muthi celebrated 69th Republic Day with pomp and show in the school premises. Patriotic songs and speeches were presented by the students. Principal Sikander Lal unfurled the National Flag.
Republic Day was celebrated in GHSS Khanna Chhargal Jammu with enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. Sarpanch Kirpal Singh and Kamlesh Kumari, Headmaster of the school hoisted the National Flag amidst National Anthem.
The 69th Republic Day was celebrated in the premises of GHSS Salmerhi by performing the flag hoisting ceremony by Principal, RS Gandral. It was followed by march past by the contingents of host and adjoining schools. A colourful function was also presented by the students.
GHSS Domana hosted the function of 69th Republic Day organized by Zone Bhalwal. SDM Jammu North, Alyas Khan, who was the chief guest on the occasion, unfurled the National flag. Students from various Government and private schools of zone Bhalwal participated in the function and presented cultural items.
Govt Girls Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar (Jammu) celebrated 69th Republic Day with patriotism and fervour. Principal of the School, Tahira Parveen Shawl unfurled the National Flag which was followed by distribution of sweets.
Government Higher Secondary School (Camp) Bohri Jammu celebrated 69th Republic Day with enthusiasm and patriotic fervour in the school premises, here.  Principal of the School, Ramesh Kumar Hakim was the chief guest, who hoisted the National Flag which was followed by National Anthem. Students presented a variety of cultural items in the programme organized by Physical Education Department of the institution. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Hakim described the Indian constitution as the largest and broad-based constitution in the world.
The 69th Republic Day function was held in the premises of GHSS Bhaderwah. ADC Bhaderwah Imam Din was the chief guest on the occasion, who unfurled the National Flag and inspected parade on the occasion.
The Republic Day was celebrated with pomp and show at GHSS Thial, Udhampur. BD Sharma, Chairman Durga Dass Sharma Memorial Society was the chief guest, who unfurled the National Flag and took the salute.
Government Girls Model Higher Secondary School Kandoli, Nagrota celebrated Republic Day in the school premises with pomp and show. Tehsildar Nagrota, Rajesh Thakur hoisted the National Flag.
Republic Day was celebrated at GHSS Saruinsar with pomp and show. The National Flag was hoisted by the chief guest Advocate Subash Singh, which was followed by Principal’s speech.
GHSS Jindrah celebrated Republic Day with zeal and zest in the school premises. Member Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion, who unfurled the National Flag amidst chanting of National Anthem. Principal Vijay Kumar was also present on the occasion.
GHSS Badhu, Billawar celebrated 69th Republic Day with great reverence and gaiety. Ex Sarpanch Sudesh Spolia was the chief guest and Swaran Lata, retired Deputy CEO was the guest of honour. Principal Kuldeep Kumar Gupta presented vote of thanks.
GHSS Keerian (Kathua) celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm in its school premises. Sarpanches Karam Singh and Rajesh Sharma were the special guests, who along with Principal Raj Kumar hoisted the National Flag.
Government Sri Ranbir Model HSS Jammu celebrated 69th Republic Day with zeal and enthusiasm. The National Flag was hoisted by the Principal, Shafqat Javed Chib.
GHSS Chanunta (Udhampur) celebrated Republic Day with the active participation of the adjoining school. Other schools included MS Battal, MS Tabber, Girls MS Chanunta, Dr Ambedkar Convent and National Academy Chanunta. Principal of the school, Chanchal Devi hoisted the National Flag.
GHSS Ramngarh celebrated Republic Day with zeal and enthusiasm. Principal of the school JS Manhas hoisted the National Flag and threw light on the importance of the day.
GHSS Rabta celebrated Republic Day with zeal and enthusiasm. Incharge Principal, Neetu Gandotra, along with Sarpanch, Rabta, unfurled the National flag. Students presented various cultural items and sang patriotic songs. The function was also witnessed by local populace.
Republic Day was also celebrated at GHSS Ramnagar. Farooq Qazi, SDM, Ramnagar, unfurled the National flag. March past was presented by school troops and a cultural programme was presented by the students. SDM Atter Chand, unfurled the Tri-colour at GHSS Basantgarh. Sushil Kumar, Tehsildar Latti, hoisted the National flag at GHSS Latti while in Dudu Sub Division, Bisis-ul-Haq, SDM Dudu, unfurled the National flag.
Government High School, Chore Motto (Udhampur) celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm. On the occasion, Ex Sarpanch, Sharn Singh, unfurled the Tri-colour. All the staff members and a large number of locals were present on the occasion.
The 69th Republic Day was celebrated in GHS Kotli Jijjan (Udhampur), where Ex-Captain Attar Singh, unfurled the National Flag and took salute. Surrounding Government middle schools and private schools also participated in the function.
Republic Day was celebrated with full joy and enthusiasm at GHS Pathi (Udhampur). Students from adjoining schools participated in the function and presented cultural activities. Earlier, flag hoisting  was done by Ex-Sarpanch, Som Raj Sharma.
A cultural programme was held in Government Boys High School (GBHS), Ghass Mandi Jammu to celebrate the 69th Republic Day. The function was presided over by Headmaster Sushma Kumari, who hoisted the National Flag.
GHS Kirpind, RS Pura celebrated 69th Republic Day with great zeal and fervour. Headmaster of the school, Tara Chand Sharma unfurled the National Flag amidst chanting of National Anthem.
The 69th Republic Day was celebrated at GBHS, Birpur. The National Flag was hoisted by Headmaster Nirmal Thapa in presence of staff members and the students.
GHS Aithem, Gandhi Nagar, celebrated 69th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and fervour. Headmaster Anita Sharma along with Sarpanch Balwant Singh hoisted the National Flag on the occasion.
GHS Dhana Chhapri, Chowki-Choura celebrated 69th Republic Day with patriotic fervour. RK Padha, Principal of the school hoisted the National Flag, which was followed by the National Anthem.

Modern Montessori International Pre -School, Jammu Branch celebrated Republic Day with great patriotic fervour. The function started with speech of Principal of the School, Pragya Gupta. She highlighted the significance of Day followed by parade by students of the school. Director of school, Sapna Rohmetra, hoisted the National Flag, which was followed by National Anthem. Pre Nursery students presented a beautiful dance on song ‘Suno Gour Se Duniya Walon’. All the children were wearing tri-color dresses. They also brought tri-colour food and shared with their friends.
Kidzee Pre-School of Zee Learn Ltd celebrated “Republic Day” at its branches – Gandhi Nagar, Channi Himmat, Talab Tillo and Trikuta Nagar with great enthusiasm. The celebration started with the hoisting of flag. The kids actively participated in dance and drill. The toddlers were dressed up in different freedom fighter costumes depicting their great personalities.
