More educational institutions celebrate Janamashtmi

JAMMU, Aug 25: Janamashtmi, the birthday of Lord Krishna was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety by educational institutions.
Janamashtmi was celebrated in KNIT Green Model Academy Sangrampur. Prof JL Kotwal was the chief guest and Bimla Baloria was the guest of honour. The students presented jankhies depicting the early life of Lord Krishna and also played Ras Leela. Komal Kotwal, Principal presented the vote of thanks.
Heaven’s Kingdom High School, Janki Vihar, Janipur celebrated Shri Krishan Janamashtmi with full religious enthusiasm. The celebrations began with lighting of ceremonial lamp by Renu Sachdeva, Principal. Students came dressed as Lord Krishna, Radha and Gopies to commemorate the human incarnation of Lord Krishna. The students also danced to the tunes bhajans and devotional songs. Later, Dahi Handi ceremony, signifying Lord Krishna’s love for milk and butter was also performed in which the students participated with zeal. On this day, the students also flew colourful kites.
Sai Shyam Educational Society, Ghou-Manhasan celebrated Janamashtmi. CL Tickoo, Chairman of the Educational Society was the chief guest. Students presented cultural programme. Principal of Sai Shyam College Dr Usha Tickoo and Principal of Sai Shyam Public Higher Secondary School Anita Raina threw light on the significance of Janamashtmi and life of Lord Krishna.
Green Fields School, Link Road and Gandhi Nagar celebrated Janamashtmi, Children were dressed as Radha an Shree Krishna. They danced to the tunes of music.
Janamashtmi was celebrated at Government Boys Middle School, Kaili Mandi, District Samba. Dressed with crowns and flute in hands like Krishna, smiles on their faces were expressing the level of happiness among these children. On the occasion school teachers led by Headmaster Bishan Gupta with active involvement of young teachers Rupali Sambyal, Babita Kumari, Rohini Bandral and others organized a kite competition on the occasion.
Lord Krishna birthday was celebrated at Kidzee, Rehari Colony. Theme based cultural progamme by the children on the birth of Shri Krishna and his friendship with Sudhama was the main attraction of the celebrations. Preaching’s of Lord Krishna were delivered to the students by the Director of the institution.
Bright Sapphires Kingdom School, Nai Basti celebrated Janamashtmi with religious fervour and joy. Students came dressed as Lord Krishna and Goddess Radha, actively participated in the fancy dress competition. Principal Suman Gupta apprised the students about the importance of this festival and also threw light on the life and teachings of Lord Krishna.
Nand Public Kindergarten, Durga Nagar celebrated Janamashtmi in which students and teachers participated. Students presented colourfull cultural programmes. Principal of the institution Sujata and Managing Director Parmjeet Singh distributed prizes to the participants.
