Educational institutions celebrate Gurpurab

JAMMU, Jan 4: Various educational institutions celebrated Gurpurab with religious fervour and gaiety.
JK Montessorie Senior Secondary school organised a special assembly in the school premises to celebrate Gurpurab. The students delivered speeches about the significance of Gurpurab and presented famous Hyms (Shabad) filling the whole atmosphere with peace and tranquility “Ek Omkar”, the Mool Mantra was followed by the Shabads. Later a soul touching melodious Kirtan was performed by the all teachers.
On the occasion, Managing Director Sanjeev Gupta, Director Academics Rajani Gupta, Principal Geeta Dixit enlightened the golden teaching of the spiritual guru.
Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar celebrated Gurpurab with great enthusiasm and religious fervor under the supervision of Managing Director, Gambhir Dev Singh Charak.
The programme started with Shabad  Kirtan and verses chanted from “Guru Granth Sahib” by the students of the school under the guidance of Sheetal Basotra, Incharge Activities and Chandan, Music Teacher. The students of primary wing dressed up as Panj Pyaras enchanted slogans Raj Karega Khalsa, Jo bole So Nehal Satsri Akal, etc.
Devinder Kour, Principal threw light on the life of Guru Govind Singh and inspired the students to follow the path of the Guru by adopting truth and secularism in their life.
Nirmala Koul, Vice Principal asked the students to study hard to achieve the goal of success in their lives.
