ED raids at premises of Chidambaram’s family members

CHENNAI, Dec 1:
Officials of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday conducted raids at the premises of Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister P Chidambaram’s family members in connection with the Aircel-Maxis case.
ED sources said, the raids which began in the morning, were being held at four places in Chennai and two in Kolkata.
Raids were also on at Mr Chidambaram’s close relative S Kailasam in Chennai city.
raids were in connection with the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) clearnces granted by Mr Chidambaram during his tenure as Union Finance Minister in 2006 in the Aircel-Maxis case. (UNI)
