DyCM reviews availability of essentials, snow clearance measures

BARAMULLA, Feb 3: Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh today asked the authorities to ensure better civic facilities to the people especially during ongoing harsh winter season.
The Deputy Chief Minister said this while chairing a meeting at Tangmarg convened to review the measures undertaken for snow clearance besides taking stock of availability of essential commodities.
Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash and other District and Sectoral officers attended the meeting.
During the meeting threadbare discussions were held with respect to snow clearance measures and availability of essential commodities besides supply of power and water.
The Deputy Chief Minister stressed upon the officers to ensure that snow is cleared from all the roads which were blocked due to recent snowfall. He directed the officers of PDD to provide the scheduled power supply to the people so that they do not face any inconvenience.
On the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister was informed about the snow clearance measures undertaken by the District Administration and was apprised that snow has been cleared from all important lanes and bi-lanes have and 90 percent of the power supply has been restored in the district.
The DC informed the meeting that adequate ration supply is available in the district, besides LPG and other essential commodities.
