DyCM pays tributes to martyrs, Cong condemns terrorists’ attack

JAMMU, Apr 27:  While Dy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh paid rich tributes to the soldiers martyred  in an encounter in Kupwara,  Leader of  Opposition in Rajya Sabha  and former Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, Pradesh Congress Committee and others today condemned the terrorists attack at the Army camp in Kashmir.
Dr Singh while paying tributes to the martyred soldiers said that they have rendered the ultimate sacrifice while fighting the elements inimical to peace. He said their sacrifice would be remembered for ever. He expressed his solidarity with the families of the martyred soldiers and hoped that they would be able to bear this tragic loss.
Top AICC leader Ghulam Nabi Azad in a press statement here expressed his grief and sorrow on the militants attack at Chowkibal in Kupwara today. He said, “I am shocked to learn that five of out brave hearts from Army including an officer were martyred in this cowardly act of militants. I express my heartiest condolences to the  bereaved families.”
Meanwhile, PCC has strongly condemned the militants’ attack in Kupwara area on an Army installation in which three Army personal have been martyred while two militants eliminated so far.
Expressing great shock over the martyrdom of Army personnel who laid down their lives for the nation, PCC  chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma has expressed serious concern over the worsening situation in the Valley. He said that repeated attacks on the Army camps and security forces and rise in the graph of militant activates with reports of fresh recruitments of youth in militants cadres and general unrest and violence in the Valley is an eye opener of the current situation. This speaks of the total failure of the State Govt and the present policy of the Central Government. He said the Government must wake up and take concrete measures to contain the overall situation, which is going out of hands.
Meanwhile, State Women Wing of Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha, led by Seema Mahajan has also condemned the terrorists attack on the Army camp in Kupwara and paid tributes to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives for the sake of the country. She expressed grave shock over the incident and conveyed her condolences and solidarity to the families of martyrs.
