DyCM highlights Kushok Bakula Rinpochey’s contributions to humanity

LEH, May 19: Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta today said that luminaries like Kushok Bakula Rinpochey were the great sons of the soil who not only illuminated the time they lived in but also continue to remain as inspirations for humanity in this era.
The Deputy CM was speaking at the valedictory function of three day national level seminar on “Bahujan Hitay Bahujan Sukhay Lokanukampaya and Geo-Strategy of Himalayan Region” organised on the birth centenary celebration of 19th Kushok Bakula Rinpochey.
He presided over the function held at CIBS, Choglamsar, Leh in the presence of 20th Bakula Rinpochey Thubstan Nawang Jigmet Wangchok and a galaxy of prominent scholars and guests across the nation and abroad yesterday evening.
The Deputy CM while addressing the valedictory function said that legendary people like Swami Vivekanand and Kushok Bakula Rinpochey would continue to show path of humanity to people for generations to come. He said that the main motive of this conference was aimed at integrating the people and the culture of Himalayas for further sustainability and stability of the region.
Highlighting India’s past glory when the country was known as “Soney Ki Chidiya”, the DyCM said that under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has started regaining its capability and competence to guide other nations in every spheres of development.
Many high profile scholars and intellectuals also spoke on the occasion and highlighted contributions of Kushok Bakula Rinpochey and ways in which Ladakh region can be put on the path of sustainable development model.
