JAMMU, Dec 30: The Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh today directed the officers   to come up with a comprehensive plan for developing infra as well as face-lifting of Mata Shri Bala Sundri Ji and Mata Shri Sukrala Devi Ji Shrines so that the devotees coming to pay obeisance get all the requisite facilities.
The Deputy Chief Minister was speaking at a review meeting of Mata Shri Bala Sundri Ji and Mata Shri Sukrala Devi Ji Shrine Boards at Billawar in district Kathua today.
Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Dr Pawan Kotwal, Deputy Commissioner Kathua Ramesh Kumar, Director Tourism Jammu Sarita Chouhan, SSP Kathua Pawan Parihar, SDM Billawar and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
Dr Singh directed the officers to come up with a comprehensive project report so that need-based and futuristic developmental activities are undertaken in the shrine complex.  He said various departments should synergize their activities to come up with the developmental plan which would incorporate every sector including PHE, PDD, R&B, boarding and lodging facilities for the pilgrims.
Deputy Chief Minister said the Government is working on a comprehensive plan for brining the State on the pilgrimage tourist circuit and in this regard several initiatives have been taken. He said the land should also be acquired near and around the shrines for constructing the facilities for the pilgrims and public conveniences should be constructed on the stretch on the Billawar to Sukarla.
The Deputy Chief Minister also went around the shrine complex and inspected the pace of work and also the facilities being offered to the pilgrims.
Earlier, the Deputy Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of Parnala-Katni vented causeway to be executed under PMGSY.  The villages of Seri, Palai, Thade and Seri Muni will get benefitted under the project which would be completed within 9 months.
The Deputy Chief Minister also held a public durbar at Katni and   interacted with several deputations who projected several demands of their respective areas.
The Deputy Chief Minister also visited Garhi Fort at Thara Kalyal and  he was  informed  that a DPR  of Rs. 30.00 lakh would be prepared for renovation and conservation of this historical site alongwith  the  construction of  tourist  amenities  as well as infra.
Dr Singh also kick-started work of 2 KM road from Kishanpur to Mohalla Nagrotian.
