Durga Nagar Welfare Committee calls on Governor

JAMMU, July 26: A deputation of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee headed by its President, Roshan Lal Raina called on Governor NN Vohra and presented a memorandum pertaining to various issues of the area.
The memorandum said that the voters of Ward numbers 62, 63, 64 and 65, who have been residing in the area for last 28 years, have not been incorporated in the Municipal Electoral Roll, thus deprived of their legitimate right of exercising vote.
The Committee appealed to the Governor to direct Chief Electoral Officer Jammu and Kashmir, Shaleen Kabra to enter genuine voters of these wards in the Electoral Roll to not to leave them in the lurch.
“The memorandum also mentioned about the construction of lanes, drains and execution of slab work on Community Hall at an earliest,” said Mr Raina through a press statement.
