JAMMU, Dec 7: A deputation of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee headed by Roshan Lal Raina its president along with other members including Bihari Lal , C L Zutshi, Nana Ji, A K Bazaz, Bushan Lal and Ashok Ji today called on Deputy Chief Electoral Officer and turned his attention towards the non inclusion of names of many bonafide voters in the voter lists.
The delegation informed the Deputy CEO that in the years of 2002 to 2007 all names of voters were existing in the Electoral list.
The Deputy CEO assured the delegation that the matter will be referred to Government for immediate action. Raina said that in case the rectification was not made a large number of migrants will be deprived of their constitutional rights which, is quite unjust.
The delegation also met the Vice Chairman, JDA and demanded renovation of park and plantation of grass and engagement of gardener in the park.
The delegation also met RTO Jammu and SRTC authorities and expressed concern over lack of transport facilities in Durga Nagar area.
