Duggar Manch, DSS to oppose Kashmiri tooth and nail

SAMBA, Aug 4: Up in arms against the State Government’s alleged agenda of imposing Kashmiri language in Jammu division colleges, Samba units of Dogra Sadar Sabha and Duggar  Manch have announced to counter the cultural aggression tooth and nail.
While addressing a joint press conference, here today, leaders of  Dogra Sadar Sabha and Duggar Manch alleged that the Kashmir leadership was hell bent to wipe out Dogra heritage and culture by imposing Kashmir language as a subject in colleges of region.
“People of Jammu will not tolerate this cultural aggression and if the Government wants to promote Kashmiri language, let they teach it in colleges across Valley,”  said Mohan Singh Slathia, president Duggar Manch, J&K, who was also present in the press conference.
He demanded immediate withdrawal of the Government order on introducing Kashmir in Government Degree College Surankote and  further said, Government should take necessary steps to promote Dogri language, which should be taught in all schools and colleges across Jammu.
The press conference was attended by Shiv Charan Singh (president Dogra Sadar Sabha, Samba), C S Katal (president Duggar Manch Samba), Sita Ram Sapolia, Surjeet Singh Sambyal, Dr Jagdeep Singh and  Kartar Singh.
