JAMMU, July 17: Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) today reiterated the demand of making the Government secretariat functional both in summer and winter capitals simultaneously, as it is not possible for public from Ladakh and Jammu regions to go and stay in Srinagar to get their even routine jobs done in the secretariat.
The demand was raised during a meeting of the Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) held at the Dogra Hall in the DSS complex under the chairmanship of Sabha president, Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak. The meeting was convened mainly to co-opt the activities of the Poonch and Rajouri chapters of the DSS. It was attended by members from both these districts besides the DSS office bearers.
The members, representing their Districts, brought out their views and offered full support to Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak and the activities of DSS. The members in one voice also condemned the Chinese over-indulgence and expansionist misadventure in PoJK and Bhutan. Urging the Government of India to check the Chinese designs, the DSS resolved not to buy Chinese goods as a protest against China.
It was also noted with concern that local as well as national level media was aggravating the situation in Kashmir and bringing bad name by one sided biased reporting. They resolve that a firm media management policy is required for ensuring true, matured and positive reporting.
The meeting concluded after announcing the proposed plan of the General Council meeting in coming October in which Dogras from Europe and the Gulf countries are also expected.
