JAMMU, June 22:  Teachers Guild Jammu & Kashmir has urged the Director School Education Jammu to review the `unjustified’ orders regarding drawal of salary of surplus/deployed Masters and Lecturers.
A meeting in this regard was called by Vijay Kumar Sharma, State general secretary of TGJK, here today, under the chairmanship of   N A Qurashi, State president of TGJK. In detailed deliberations were held on the burning issue of pending salary of Masters/lecturers who are surplus or deployed/attached on court directions, medical grounds and working under rationalization.  The meet took a serious note of the Order No. 527-DSEJ of 2017, dated: 11-4-2017 and Order No. 755-DSEJ of 2017, dated: 30-5-2017 and termed these orders as misunderstood mechanism of allotment of posts and funds.
N  A Qurashi said that these employees were drawing their salaries out of Overall Cadre Strength of the Masters and Lecturers in a very smooth way but due to misinterpretation of issue by few officials of the Directorate, all such Masters and Lecturers have been put to mental harassment and suffering to them and their families. “The reason shown in the orders to do so are baseless. The department should not exceed the budgetary provisions. It may be taken post-wise, cadre-wise or through overall strength of the vacancy of that cadre,” he said and added that DSEJ due to wrong interpretation issued confused and full of chaos orders with the result that Masters and Lecturers are without salary for months together. He appealed the authorities to modify the order and allot the identified vacant posts to such schools or offices where aggrieved Masters and Lecturers are working presently.
Vijay Kumar Sharma demanded that the posts along with non-withdrawal so transferred to DDOs of the other districts should have been placed at the disposal of DDOs where the deployed and attached Master and Lecturer are presently posted and working.
Those, who attended the meeting, included Balbir Singh, Narayan Baru, M A Wani, Anil Kumar, Kasturi Lal, Vinod Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Kuldeep Raj, Ashwani Kumar, Ram Lal, Devinder Kumar, Om Parkash, Vijay Kumar Gupta, Subash Singh, Sanjay Kumar Gupta and others.
