Drugs trafficker arrested with heroin

JAMMU, Dec 1: Gandhi Nagar police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ launched by SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta arrested a drugs trafficker along with 35 grams of heroin.
As per police sources, on specific information, teams from Gandhi Nagar Police Station and Digiana Police Post laid a naka and intercepted a pedestrian, who was trying to hide himself from the cops.
During checking, police recovered 35 grams of heroin from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Dheeraj Kumar Sharma, son of Dev Raj, a resident of Indra Nagar, Miran Sahib, Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 226/17 under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and further investigation of the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia and assisted by Incharge Digiana Police Post SI Pawan Dogra made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
