Drug peddler nabbed with heroin

JAMMU, Feb 21: Bagh-e-Bahu police arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Bagh-e-Bahu police station laid a naka and intercepted a swift car.
During checking, police recovered 8 grams heroin from the possession of the driver and arrested him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Gurmeet Singh, a resident of Shaheedi Chowk. He was earlier working with a private bank and presently running a finance company at Bahu Plaza.
A case under FIR Number 17/17 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the accused at Bagh-e-Bahu police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bagh-e-Bahu police station Inspector Vijay Choudhary made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Arun Jamwal and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
