Drug peddler nabbed with ganja

JAMMU, Mar 1: Narwal police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a drug peddler and recovered ganja from his possession.
As per police spokesman, on specific information, a team from Narwal police post arrested a notorious drug peddler along with 4 kilograms ganja.
The accused has been identified as Ranjeet Sahani, son of Lakhan Sahani, a resident of Bihar and presently residing in Gangyal.
He had brought the consignment from Bihar and was about to sell it among the youth in Jammu, but swift action by the Narwal police foiled his bid.
A case under FIR Number 47/17 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the accused at police station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Narwal police post SI Wasim Mehraj made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Bharat Sharma, SDPO East Arun Jamwal and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
