REASI, Apr 7: The police arrested a motor-cyclist and recovered 600 gms of charas from his possession during naka near Chanab bridge at Reasi today.
Official sources said that acting on a specific information, a police party from Reasi led by SHO, Inspector Ashwani Sharma during naka at Barandari intercepted motorcycle bearing registration No. JK06A-1680 driven by one Vikas Sharma, son of Rajinder Kumar, resident of Bhaderwah and at present Zero Morh, Talwara. He was carrying consignment for delivery to some destination. The police party on frisking recovered 600 gms of charas from his possession.
The accused was arrested and the consignment of drugs was seized. In this connection, a case FIR No. 79/2018 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station, Reasi. The arrest was made under the supervision of Nikhil Gogna- Dy.SP Hqrs, Reasi under the over all supervision of Tahir Sajad Bhat-SSP Reasi.
