Drug peddler arrested with intoxicants, sharp edged weapon

JAMMU, Mar 31: Panjtirthi police apprehended a drug peddler along with intoxicants and sharp edged weapons.
As per police sources, during patrolling in Mubarak Mandi area, a team from Panjtirthi Police Post intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 5.2 grams heroin, 200 grams cannabis and one sharp edged weapon from the possession of the man and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Sunil Kumar, son of Ravi Kumar, a resident of Chowgan Slathia, Panjtirthi.
A case under FIR Number 48/18 under Section 8/20/21/22 NDPS Act and 4/25 Arms Act has been registered at Pacca Danga Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Panjtirthi Police Post SI Ajay Kumar Engotra made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Pacca Danga SI Dheeraj Nagpal, SDPO City Varun Jandial, SP City Dr Vinod Kumar and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
